Simple Strumming Techniques and Patterns
In this video we discuss the most basic strumming strokes: Downstroke, Upstroke, Down/Up Stroke. Then we explain how to use these strokes in three different strum patterns. The most important one to help us progress as quickly as possible is the 1-2-3-Rest Strum.
This involve "resting" on the last beat of a bar (measure). This will give you just a little bit of time to change chords (which we will get to in the next section.)
